Frizzy Jynx!

I know it’s been a while again – I just don’t know where the time goes – must be a sign I’m getting old!

Jordan and Grace are up in Lancashire being spoiled rotten by Granny and Grandad and we are having a relatively quiet week this week.  So I thought I would do a quick post and show you another card made with one of my Saturated Canary digi stamps – so hooked on these cute characters.  You can follow Krista’s blog HERE and you can click through to her etsy shop from her blog if you feel the urge to go and buy 1 or 2!

This one’s called Frizzy Jynx, don’t you just love her!

Stampeezee has just had a delivery of new My Favourite Things dies and stamps in – of course I had to have a couple of things so when I get round to using them I will show you what I do!  I love these dies, they cut beautifully and they are a reasonable price too (they are called die-namics and you can see them all HERE).

Just a quick plug for the next YOG (Coventry Youth Operatic Group) show which is on at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry May 10th – May 12th – they are doing Peter Pan and Grace is playing Tinkerbell.  Can’t wait!  If you live near Coventry you can book tickets at the Belgrade box office – the shows are always really good, very professional and they are a very talented group of youngsters.  I will remind you all nearer the time too!

Take care until next time

Perfectly retro!

If you are a follower of Whimsical Wishes you will have been reading all about Katrina and Adrians wedding.   Their wedding was vintage themed – Katrina loves all things vintage so that was no surprise!   We had a fabulous day which started off at the church near their house and then onto the venue for the rest of the day and evening.  When we arrived at the venue the courtyard was all decked out with bunting and we were served pimms/beer from a retro caravan!   There were so many lovely touches at the wedding and you can read all about them here!    The thing is that it was Katrina’s birthday just after the wedding so having read her post here about Audrey you can imagine my excitement when blog hopping I found Saturated Canary (Krista) and her lovely digis – this one in particular!   Perfect I thought.

Here is the card I made for Katrina’s birthday with the digi stamp

My collection of Saturated Canary digis is growing and I will be back very soon with some more cards to show you.

Take care

Happy New Year!

I know it’s been a while since I blogged but just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year – hope 2012 will be a good year for you.

Those of you who know me will know that 2012 will be a very different year for me after making the big decision to close Stampeezee after 9 years of business!   About 3 weeks after I closed I took a temporary job at Warwick University in the Finance Office which was supposed to be for a couple of months and I am now permanently employed there.  This wasn’t exactly my plan (I thought I was going to be a lady of leisure for a little while) but I am really pleased it worked out this way as I love working there and I have just enjoyed a lovely long relaxing Christmas holiday with my family.

You can still shop at and Rachel has some great offers on at the moment and also some new things just in.  I have just been on the Stampeezee blog and she has made a fabulous piece of altered art using the new Wendy Vecchi products – have a look HERE – I just love it.

Hope to be back soon with some crafting to show you.

November workshop

Well I haven’t had as much time as I thought I would to keep up with my blog.     Apart from working I have been kept busy running Grace to rehearsals.  She has just finished doing The Tombstones which was a fabulous show (I went 3 times!), I was very proud of Grace she was sooo good in it!    Now she is busy rehearsing for the next YOG show, Godspell, which is on in a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile I have been trying to prepare for my next workshop.  One of  the projects is this wreath.

Sorry the photos are not brilliant.  All the flowers are hand made.

The workshop will be Saturday 12th November 10am till 4pm at Corley Village Hall and the cost is £35.00 for the day including materials, coffee/tea and cake (bring your own lunch).

If you would like to book a place just e-mail me at

Hope you can make it!

Thanks Ladies and The Tombstones!

Just wanted to say thank you to all the ladies who came to my 1st workshop on Saturday, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Sorry, I haven’t got any photos – forgot my camera!

The next workshop will be on Saturday 12th November and I will be back soon with some samples of what we will be doing.

Tim Holtz Sewing Room die

Good afternoon everyone

I have a couple of cards to show you today which I made recently for friend’s birthdays.

They are very similar and I have used the Tim Holtz sewing room die on both of them.  If you haven’t already got this die it’s available HERE – I have used mine loads!   The papers are all Tim Holtz, the Kraft Resist pad is available HERE.  I have painted the manequins (hope that’s the right spelling!) with picket fence distress crackle paint, the happy birthday is a quickutz die, the little flowers on the first card were made with the Marianne D chinese rose die available HERE.  The wings on the second card are the fabulously named ‘frosty treat angel wings’ by Prima  available HERE.  Ribbon, lace and gems from stash.

Can’t believe another week has almost gone and  it’s the weekend tomorrow and I am so enjoying my weekends now.  Whatever you are doing enjoy yours too!

Thanks for looking!
