Here is the box we will be doing at the next Corley craft day which is Sunday 12th August. We will also be making notecards to go in it (I just haven’t got round to making those yet). The workshop is at 1.30pm and costs £10. It’s at Corley Village Hall near Coventry – if you would like to book a place e-mail me at email@example.com.
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine.
I’m here with a card to show you today – I bought this Molly Blooms stamp from Stampeezee last week – I love beach huts – probably something to do with my dream of living by the sea! The card is 8″ x 8″ – my favourite size at the moment. I painted the image with my distress inks which gives a lovely watercolour effect and as it’s a big stamp I kept the card really simple. I used beadazzles on the sand and a bit of glitter. You can buy the stamp here.
Here is a close up of the beach huts
I still have places left for the workshop to make the heart (see previous post) at Corley Village Hall, Coventry on Sunday 1st July 1.30pm to 3.30pm. E-mail me firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to book a place.
Hope you are all making the most of the sunshine whilst we have some! I’m sure it will be raining again tomorrow.
Just a quick shout out for the Coventry Musical Theatre Society who are performing Guys and Dolls at the Belgrade Theatre – starts tomorrow Thursday 21st June – Saturday 23rd June. Book tickets here – they are a very talented group – Grace and I are going Friday night!

It’s on Sunday 20th May and as before 10.30am is scrapbooking then cropping until 4pm (£15) and my workshop is 1.30pm to 3.30pm (£10). If you would like to know more you can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org Here are the cards we will be doing in my workshop.
Hope you can make it – we had a lovely afternoon in April.
I’ll try not to leave it so long between posts next time.
I have a couple of exciting things to tell you all about – firstly Jacqui Gilbert (who some of you may remember from Stampeezee as she used to do my scrapbooking workshops) is starting a new monthly scrapbooking crop which will be held at Corley Village Hall, Corley near Coventry. The first one is on Sunday 22nd April 10am – 4pm cost is £15 to include teaching and materials of a double page spread and free tea and coffee. If you want to book or want to know more just e-mail Jacqui at email@example.com
The second thing is that I will be doing workshops at the crop – I will come along ready to start 1.30 to do a 2 hour workshop which will cost £10 including all materials. My first one on the 22nd April and we will be making 3 cards to include stamping, embossing and inking. Drop me an e-mail if you want to book on my workshop – firstname.lastname@example.org. You don’t have to be at the crop you can still book and come along at 1.30 just for my workshop and of course if you are already at the crop you might like to book and do my workshop in the afternoon.
We hope this will be a great way for crafters to get together once a month for a really fun, informative and social day with like minded people! And of course I am looking forward to catching up with you all.
Here are the cards I will be doing in the workshop.
Hope to see you there!
The gorgeous heart is one of the new Indigo Blu stamps that have just come in at Stampeezee – they stamp beautifully.
Just wanted to let you all know that Stampeezee is having a mid season sale with a massive 25% off everything for 1 week from Monday 27th February to Sunday 4th March inclusive. This is a fantastic discount so don’t miss out!
I will be back soon with some more creations.
Today I thought I would show you a box frame I have made, I’ve been enjoying making lots of different things other than cards lately and I will be back to show you some of them soon. This collage was inspired by some lovely Graphic 45 papers I got from Stampeezee – HERE. The collection is called Tropical Travelogue and the ones I used for this project are Botanica, Oceania and Paradise Postage.
The box frame is from IKEA!
Tha’t all for today – short and sweet!
I know it’s been a while again – I just don’t know where the time goes – must be a sign I’m getting old!
Jordan and Grace are up in Lancashire being spoiled rotten by Granny and Grandad and we are having a relatively quiet week this week. So I thought I would do a quick post and show you another card made with one of my Saturated Canary digi stamps – so hooked on these cute characters. You can follow Krista’s blog HERE and you can click through to her etsy shop from her blog if you feel the urge to go and buy 1 or 2!
This one’s called Frizzy Jynx, don’t you just love her!
Stampeezee has just had a delivery of new My Favourite Things dies and stamps in – of course I had to have a couple of things so when I get round to using them I will show you what I do! I love these dies, they cut beautifully and they are a reasonable price too (they are called die-namics and you can see them all HERE).
Just a quick plug for the next YOG (Coventry Youth Operatic Group) show which is on at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry May 10th – May 12th – they are doing Peter Pan and Grace is playing Tinkerbell. Can’t wait! If you live near Coventry you can book tickets at the Belgrade box office – the shows are always really good, very professional and they are a very talented group of youngsters. I will remind you all nearer the time too!
Take care until next time
If you are a follower of Whimsical Wishes you will have been reading all about Katrina and Adrians wedding. Their wedding was vintage themed – Katrina loves all things vintage so that was no surprise! We had a fabulous day which started off at the church near their house and then onto the venue for the rest of the day and evening. When we arrived at the venue the courtyard was all decked out with bunting and we were served pimms/beer from a retro caravan! There were so many lovely touches at the wedding and you can read all about them here! The thing is that it was Katrina’s birthday just after the wedding so having read her post here about Audrey you can imagine my excitement when blog hopping I found Saturated Canary (Krista) and her lovely digis – this one in particular! Perfect I thought.
Here is the card I made for Katrina’s birthday with the digi stamp
My collection of Saturated Canary digis is growing and I will be back very soon with some more cards to show you.
I know it’s been a while since I blogged but just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year – hope 2012 will be a good year for you.
Those of you who know me will know that 2012 will be a very different year for me after making the big decision to close Stampeezee after 9 years of business! About 3 weeks after I closed I took a temporary job at Warwick University in the Finance Office which was supposed to be for a couple of months and I am now permanently employed there. This wasn’t exactly my plan (I thought I was going to be a lady of leisure for a little while) but I am really pleased it worked out this way as I love working there and I have just enjoyed a lovely long relaxing Christmas holiday with my family.
You can still shop at www.stampeezee.co.uk and Rachel has some great offers on at the moment and also some new things just in. I have just been on the Stampeezee blog and she has made a fabulous piece of altered art using the new Wendy Vecchi products – have a look HERE – I just love it.
Hope to be back soon with some crafting to show you.
